Evelyn is one of the great innovators of Brazilian Zouk. She has contributed greatly to the development of the styles of neoZouk and brings her rich contemporary background into zouk. Her expressive, rich dance and teaching have explored such topics as developing new movement pathways, momentum, lead-follow interaction respecting follow voice, deconstructing and recombining basics, solo movement, improvisational skills, and musicality. Derrick Lopez has been part of the Soulshifter crew for decades, making him an OG of hip hop and break dancing in Pacifika. He has developed techniques for integrating hip hop movement into Brazilian Zouk without interrupting the flow of his lead and while responding to follow suggestions.
