🏆 𝐄𝐔𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐀 𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐎 𝐂𝐔𝐏 🏆 Welcome to the second edition Tango Competition in Euphoria Studio Tallinn! We are more than happy to see you dancers challenge yourself and win prizes! 🥳🏆 We are welcoming all the Euphoria Studio Tallinn students and dancers from outside the studio as well! You can take part in 3 different categories - in all of them or separately in a category of your choice. 🙌 The Categories will be divided according to the level of experience. Minimum two couples is needed for the category to take place. 🟠Novice: up to 2 years of dancing experience 🟠Open: 2-... years of dancing experience 🟠 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬: 🟣 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐨 𝐝𝐞 𝐏𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚 This is conceived as a social dance, where the most important aspects are the improvisation, embrace and connection between the dance partners. Judging criteria: The dancers dance in couples and do not detach from each other until the music is over, because this is the only accepted posture. The body of the dancer has to hold the embrace of the other for the entire period of the dance – in the way that in certain figures the embrace could be flexible but not for the entire time of the dance. All movements have to be done in the space that result through the embrace between both parts of the couple. The jury pays attention to the musicality, the connection of the couple and the elegance of the movement as essential points for the rating. Within these parameters the dancers could perform all figures that are usually danced in the Tango as social dance, containing also barridas, flat sacadas, enrosques etc. Completely excluded are jumps and figures, in which you lose the contact to the ground with both feet and any other choreographic figure from the Tango Escenario. The couples have to be continuously moving counterclockwise like in a ballroom and not stand on one spot, because in the case the dance flow in the “ronda” would be interrupted. 🟣 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐬 The Vals with its melody full of swing and the round rhythm should be expressed by the dancers. The dancers themselves and also the public should feel the mood of the dance. This cheerful atmosphere is reflected in the dance attitude, the steps and the dance dynamism. Musicality and the interaction between the dancers is an important criterion for the judging. 🟣 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐫𝐨 The participants in this category enrol individually and register individually as followers or leaders. They will be drawn shortly before the competition and then dance a ronda of three tango pieces with 3 different people.
