WHAT:
An explorative residency on creating conscious futures through embodied practices and conceptual cross pollination in Bechyne’s former Franciscan Monastery, in Czech Republic
We will explore the relation between the evolution of our animal being, and the social construction of our intimacy; the relation of our fantasies, personal and social projections and the economic social structure in which we live. Can we affect a change in the social system by focusing on the self as the transpersonal? Can we acknowledge that our personal production and cultural understanding shapes our conceptualization of nature?
We want to contribute to the ongoing process of awareness and decolonisation by navigating multiple levels of perception and misperception and by coming together in the flesh to open crucial questions that affect a conscious embodied future.
HOW: A dynamic exchange of ideas, body work tools and game plans will be nurtured by the following facilitators:
Javier Cura #The Ecological Body: will elaborate ecological concepts through our bodies, getting in contact with our evolutionary design and the web of intimate, ecological and political relations created from it. Principles from Contact Impro, Taichi, tango, Physical theatre and Aquatic dance will be applied. www.javiercura.net
Moss Beynon Juckes #Eso-Terra: collectively devising neo rituals: Creating self empowered, group initiated contemporary rituals, through an exploration of the endogenous body & emotional labour. This work includes Voice and Movement exploration, improvised polyphonic group singing, songs, singing massage and erotic reiki to name a few. www.mossbeynonjuckes.com
Federica Fiore #Imprinting Love: cellular memory and radical intimacyWe are going to play with the hormonal levels in the body, allowing Oxytocin, Adrenaline, Endorphins to create a state of Love in our bodies, enhancing the love skills of future generations. www.federicafiore.com
David Bloom #Group Dynamics of Desire: will explore dynamics of collective desire, touching on awareness, acceptance, and articulation of personal boundaries, the relationship of the individual to the group, and the notion of pleasure as a path to embodiment. www.davidbloom.info
Tereza Silon #Dying to Be Alive/Transcendental Body Landscaping: An antidote to Darwin‘s survival of the fittest. We will explore our human, animal and vegetal bodies in a relation to our individual constitutions, our movement patterns and energies cycles within these bodies and our lives. What is the line between normalcy and anomaly? Who has the right to desire and to assert and how does it impact the way different bodies can heal and thrive within various constellations and realities? www.terezasilon.com
WHERE: This is a fun very moving week held in a magical former Franciscan Monastery in the Bohemian village of Bechyne, just 1.30-2hrs south from Prague. The monastery is surrounded by gardens over a cliff on the valley of a flowing river between silent speaking trees.
