Miles Tangos has been a social tango teacher for 19 years. He teaches primarily one-on-one through his self-developed Intensive Process, taking students from zero to confident social dancer in under three months, with a level of clarity and control that typically takes a decade to build. His teaching ideology is dedicated exclusively to ‘Social’ Argentine Tango: clean walking, comfortable embrace, hyper aware and contained self control, compact movement, intelligent floorcraft skills, and musical precision. Through his platform, https://tangotopics.com and his YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@tangotopicsvideos), he has built an extensive body of work (900+ videos) focused on foundational vocabulary, floorcraft mastery, and musical interpretation for the social dance floor. His ideology centers on the Five Social Figures > Walking, Ochos, Turns, Crosses, and Cortados. This, along with the Five Common Social Add-Ons (social colgadas, volcadas, sacadas, wraps, and boleos) and the Five Pause Type Methodology, a structured approach to understanding and expressing the dance through musical pauses. He teaches practical, compact, Buenos Aires–floorcraft-competent tango designed to make dancers precise, musical, and genuinely enjoyable to dance with.
