Exploring the Kizomba Universe Take your Kizomba further by exploring the dances, styles, and traditions that have shaped its evolution. This workshop series is designed for dancers with a solid Kizomba foundation who want to deepen their understanding of the wider Kizomba universe. Each workshop focuses on a different dance style while highlighting its unique musicality, movement quality, and cultural background. Konpa & Zouk Saturday 17 October 2026 · 15:00–18:00 Discover Haiti’s signature partner dance, Konpa, alongside Zouk from the French Caribbean. Both dances have their part in Kizomba parties with their close embrace while offering their own distinctive rhythms, movement qualities, and musical expression. Tarraxinha Saturday 7 November 2026 · 15:00–18:00 Explore the intimate side of Kizomba through Tarraxinha—a subtle dance centred on connection, minimal footwork, body movement, and deep musicality. Semba — Next Level Saturday 23 January 2027 · 15:00–18:00 Dive into the lively Angolan roots of Kizomba with an advanced exploration of Semba. This workshop combines playful partner dialogue, musical interpretation, dips, and tricks woven naturally into the dance.
