About this Event

LINDY LAB from 8:30-9:00pm Come finish up the Big Apple with Richard! The Big Apple is a circle dance that originated in South Carolina in the 1930s. During it's rise to popularity on the east coast, the steps of the dance would be told to Frankie Manning over the phone so that it could be performed in the 1938 movie "Everybody Sing." Manning's version of the dance is still performed in the swing scene today. OR Practice your moves in an open, collaborative environment. Take advantage of our spacious floor and wall of mirrors to work on your solo dancing, or bring a friend to work on technique or experiment with new combinations. SOCIAL DANCING from 9:00-11:30pm With music from DJ Chris! -------- General admission is $10, or $8 with proof of Sunnyvale residency. Preregister at https://for-dancers-only.square.site, or with a credit card at the door - no cash accepted. For the safety of our community, it is recommended to wear a mask while dancing.
