Uptown Swing Kingston presents an evening of dancing, singing and scrubbing on dusty old jazz, blues and country with this month’s house band: La Familia Swinging Blues Band La Familia is a homegrown, Hudson Valley outfit featuring musicians from The Big Takeover, The Trapps, Sweet Clementines,and Light of Day Band . We got together to play the hoppin’, juke jivin’, and danceable music we love. Our repertoire includes original swing and swinging blues songs, as well as fresh and energetic renditions of the classics. Our vibe is old-school cool with a generous helping of youthful exuberance.
