We are very excited to welcome DJ Apokryphus to Fernhill this week. His name means “to unveil”, and he brings an Earth-based, Indigenous View to his music— read his bio below! 👇 Remember Dance Starts at NOON! Warmup begins at 11:30 Doors will remain open for entry until 1pm,--please arrive before then. Dance entry is $15-30, sliding scale. Children Dance for Free Volunteer positions available Our venue is not currently ADA accessible, but we are building a ramp! If you want to join the ramp-buidling effort, the next work day is Saturday, 11/29! Our DJ!! ----- DJ Apokryphus (to unveil) [he/him, Indigenous] has been a lifelong dancer and lover of various types of music. Growing up in the lands and waters of Páhto and Nch'i Wána - rooted in his tribal community - has entrenched a deep connection with PNW landscapes that inform his tribal and elemental worldview. In his sets you can expect contemporary sounds such as downtempo, tribal, Latin, funk, Afro, house, and bass; all infused with elemental and shamanic soundscapes; sounds that beckon the dancer on a journey towards inner knowing and conscious connection.
