Festa No Musseque

Festa No Musseque is a unique event where you can experience authentic Angolan culture through live music and food, in a quirky open space in the heart of London at Old Paradise Yard. This will be an opportunity for you to come together with friends, family and like minded people to enjoy a relaxing day in the warm sunshine with a cool drink and delicious traditional food, whilst listening to the music from beautiful Angola. AGENDA: ======== 3pm - Welcome music, food and drinks 4pm - FUN & GAMES (for kids and adults alike) * Barra de Lenço * Corrida de Saco * Danca com Bola * Danca das Cadeiras Making Musical Instruments Musseque Style create your own percussion instruments 5:30pm - Breaking down Kizomba & Semba Beats: Interactive Workshop - join in for a jam or learn how to do a little percussion 6:00pm - Kazukuta Band (Live Kizomba Band) Jamm Session Followed by - DJ Nelo 10pm - Finish of the day FOOD: ====== There will be a food stand selling delicious Angolan delicacies, grilled meats and Portuguese patisserie. There will also be a bar selling soft drinks and beer. This is not purely a dance event, this is a music and culture event, so bring along people who are generally interested in learning something new and want a nice day out. Although, we won't stop you from shaking it on the dance floor if the music moves you. ;-)
