About this Event
“Our musical creativity got pregnant in Latin America and other parts of the World, but was born in the United State, so it is un-deportable and protected by the XIV Amendment." #revolfusion
Revol.Fusion. fuses an energetic blend of traditional music from Brazil (samba/samba de roda, samba reggae), Central America (Punta) and rhythms from the Caribbean such as merengue, salsa, bachata, cumbia, rumba, changui, with the lively colors of modern music like rap, regueton, rock and others, modernly known as “Latin Alternative Music"
In their shows you will experience a wide variety of crazy sounds from earthy and mantric instruments such as: Berimbau (an instrument used in Capoeira - a brazilian dance and martial art), sea shell and a turtle shell for Punta music from Central America, harmonicas, duck-mouth whistle (samba whistle), flutes, Surdo- Drums (from Salvador Bahia, Brazil), just to mention a few. All of these flavors are in tune with the modern diversity of the “Athens of the South”, Nashville.
Their highly contagious music always embraces an audience in a magical vibe; merging meaningful and strong lyrics with the power and raw energy of up tempo grooves alongside a tasty spoon of Caribbean, Central and South American spices, in a danceable atmosphere. Their lyrics are rhythmically and creatively written in English, Spanish, Portugues and French, which inevitably seduce the listener.
REVOLFUSION’s band members have participated in such important events as:
• Country Music Fest - performing on the Lays Stage at the Bridgestone Arena and becoming the first Latin band ever to be invited to participate in that auspicious event.
• Live on the Green - where they had the honor of opening for LOS LONLEY BOYS.
• Regions FREE Day of Music at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center (Nashville Symphony)
• The Challenge of the Bands competition at The famous Wild Horse Saloon for the Art Business Council; winning the FIRST PLACE award at the culmination of an arduous competition.
• The Basement East
The remarkable thing about this band is the unique performance they deliver in every show. Although their sound and groove is influenced by music and culture from around the world, it was born and is rooted in the International District of Davidson County - South Nashville/Spanish Harding, Tennessee; a city better known for its Country Music.
