Final Innovations WCS w Aidan - Free!

The final Innovations! Free admission! Lesson at 7pm with Aidan Keith-Hynes and he'll be our first DJ. Social dancing begins at 8pm. - Proof of full (original) vaccination will be required for admittance, so remember to bring your card(s) (or a copy). Boosters are appreciated, but not required. - Masks are optional. Please be respectful. - There will be snacks. - Members will be asked to vote on "winding down and dissolving" the organization. The dance will be free, so $10 off admission for volunteers doesn't apply, but we'd still appreciate help with the front desk - checking vax cards and collecting votes. Even short shifts are a big help! Thanks! FAQ: If the organization is running out of money, why is the last dance free? Why not at least collect money for a charity? California law makes closing Innovations much simpler if Innovations has $0, so Innovations is using the remaining funds (and a small donation) to hold the last dance and end with $0. If the organization is dissolving, why is there a membership vote about it too? The Board has reviewed Innovations' position, found it unsustainable, and voted to dissolve. California law requires a vote of the membership also be held. Presumably, if enough members are opposed, they can take over the Board and continue operations. Please be aware that due to IRS regulations continuing Innovations will require maintaining a list of members and keeping track of which front desk funds come from members vs non-members.
