Firehouse 5 Blues Night!

A brand new blues social dance night at The Firehouse 5 🎶 Every 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month! Lesson: 7pm-8pm taught by Amare Oyao & Sammie Anne McKibben Social: 8pm-11pm social dancing with two DJ's Cost: $5 lesson $15-20 social dance, sliding scale pay what you can $80 for a 30 day pass includes all fusion and blues classes & social dances ***volunteer options available for free entry! Historical context: Blues idiom dances are social dances that developed alongside blues music in the South. Blues is a vast and diverse genre of music that stems from black culture in the 19th and 20th centuries. We want to celebrate that tradition of music and dance. Come out and blues with us!
