If you are here and you walk towards the Potomac River you will find us. If you are at the fountain just walk towards the Key bridge along the water and you will find us. We recommend using public transportation, walking, biking or Uber to get to our location. Free street parking is available but can be difficult to find, there is also a parking garage that stays open late at 3205 K Street NW, Washington, DC 20007 ☆ IMPORTANT TIPS ☆ 1. Make sure you have read the information about our exact location. It can be difficult to find us if it's your first time. 2. Bring the least amount of personal belongings, this event takes place in a public park and if you leave your stuff anywhere to go dance, you do so at your own risk. 3. There are no drinks sold at this event and nearest bar or restaurant is a 4 minute walk away. We recommend you bring water to stay hydrated. Dancing in the Sun will make you very thirsty. There is also limited seating, so if you bring a picnic blanket you can rest on the grass adjacent to our area. Lastly it a public park and not no alcoholic drinks are permitted. 4. The floor that we dance on is a smooth pavement, some of the dances we do involve a lot of turns. Its best to wear a low friction/low grip street shoe. Dance shoes wear out very quickly on this surface. We highly recommend shoes that have foam soles like most Toms shoes. https://www.toms.com 5. Always check this week's event page for important updates or cancellations due to weather. ☆ SAFETY ☆ We take safety very seriously within our community. Any inappropriate behavior should be brought to the organizers attention. We have a zero tolerance tolerance policy for inappropriate behavior and any issues regarding consent on and off the dance floor. If someone is deemed a threat to our participants we will do what we can to isolate them from our community, assist with legal action if necessary and notify law enforcement.
