Hello Dancers, FLEXIBILITY, CONDITIONING & INTRODUCTION TO CALISTHENICS WORKSHOP- BY MEGHA KHATRI ABOUT THE WORKSHOP- Useful for dancers & non-dancers for gaining strength, agility and endurance. Whole body conditioning for better balance and stability. ----DAYS & DATES---- SATURDAY & SUNDAY, AUGUST 20 & 21, 2016. ----TIME---- 10.30 am to 12 pm. VENUE- THE DANCE FLOOR PUNE. FEES- Rs. 1200/- per person. ABOUT MEGHA- Megha Khatri has dance experience for over 6 years and started her journey with Latin Ballroom forms like Cha Cha, Rumba and Samba from Sandip Soparrkar's Ballroom Studio. While having taught there for over a year, she moved on to establish her name in dance forms like Salsa and Bachata exclusively. She has since then represented India for competitions and World Champioships. She has taught in several cities within Inida and have also travelled, trained, performed in various countries like China, South Korea, Russia and Europe. 2016- 1st Runners up, Professional Solo Category Female, Asia Open Championship, IIDC, Bengaluru. 2014 – 4th Runners up, World Salsa Championships, Professional solo division, Hong Kong. 2012 - Winner, Salsa solo, Amateur division, GILF, Goa Akshay & Megha- Alongwith her partner Akshay Unecha they were 2nd runners up at World Championships in Salsa held at Hong Kong in 2015. She recently bagged the 1st runners up in Solo Professional Category Female in All Asia Open championship held at Bengaluru She has been intensively trained under 20 times World Champion Alien Ramirez for Salsa and Bachata. She has also taken guidance under several International artists like Liz Lira (USA), Junior and Emily (USA), Juan and Leidy (Columbia) to name a few. Currently she is also training in Europe with her partner exclusively for a new dance style called Acrobatic ‘Rock and Roll’ and are the only 2 athletes representing India currently for this sport. The only couple representing India for this sport in the most difficult division 'A-class or main class' division. They were the part of the expansion program by WRCC ( World Rock and Roll Confederation) and were featured in a Russian television reality show.
