FLOW & STYLING 8 WEEKS BRAZILIAN ZOUK FOLLOWERS ONLINE COURSE Start 21 November We would like to invite you for a winter edition of our followers course. This time it will be 3 of us teaching: Melyssa, Joanna and Evelyn :) In this course we will focus on flow and styling. Maintaining fluid moves, transitioning between different figures and head movements can be tricky sometimes. We will bring to you plenty of exercises so you can improve that and feel more comfortable. On the top of that we will bring some styling to have some fun and beautiful moves. Think about water, snakes and cats to visualize the idea of the movements we want to bring to you. Find out more about our teachers: About Melyssa Melyssa Tamada is known worldwide together with Marck Silva for their amazing creativity and versatility. Coming from Sao Paulo, Brazil, they dance and teach Brazilian zouk and lambada, and are part of the young Sao Paulo generation of up-and-coming zouk teachers that are taking the world by storm. Their zouk videos are watched every day by hundreds of people and they massively influence the zouk style. Evelyn is born in Transylvania (Romania), grew up in the Netherlands and currently living in a beautiful town called Valley Springs in California USA. In 2006 she was confronted with her destiny "Brazilian Zouk", where she fell in love with the dance which has been her passion ever since. Over the years, while studying and working abroad within her professional dance career, Evelyn has performed and taught in several countries all over the world. Evelyn partnered with many prolific Zouk leaders like Pasty, Adilio Porto, Mafie Zouker, Xandy Liberato and many more at international congresses. According to Evelyn, dancing Zouk is, "Surrendering in the moment with a balanced mental and physical state, combining creativity through inner-beauty, while existing in harmony with the music”. Evelyn embodies a unique approach to dance - an art of moving, expressing and interpreting the music internally, and from your heart. Her talents inspire dancers around the world to express their dance from their souls coming from an unconditional love for the ‘self’ and for others. She has a very clear understanding of human motor skills and constantly educates herself in new techniques. She has taught dance in over 30 countries, and has been teaching, performing, and dancing her heart out at international zouk festivals for over 12 years. She pioneered zouk in Poland in 2011 in Warsaw, and she is a qualified judge of the Brazilian Zouk Dance Council. She has taught zouk together with Pasty, Kamacho, and William dos Santos, and in recent years found success and immense pride in teaching popular solo follower classes at international festivals, attracting zoukers wanting to learn her unique and expressive style of dancing in order to enhance their partner dancing.
