About this Event
A weekend campout in Glastonbury to celebrate Beltane with storytelling, dancing, activities and play!
Flowers & Flames! The Grove Festival of Beltane
A celebratory weekend of storytelling, dance, games and nature rituals honouring the arrival of spring and the lighting of inner fires. Immersed in the magical lands of Glastonbury !
A time to join together in playful activities, creativity and adventure underpinned with reverance for, and dialogue with, nature and the cycle of the seasons.
Flowers, fertility, fire and delight!
Beltane celebrates the bountiful height of spring and the flowering of life! Embracing the element of fire and the spirit of passion it honours the coming together of the god and goddess in sacred union. The gateway to summer, the strengthening of the sun and bright, warm days ahead!
Recapturing the ancestral traditions and festivities of the British Isles we honour our heritage and land by exploring the archetypes of the May Queen and Green Man. As an embodiment of the May Queen, the Hawthorn tree brings healing and renewal to the heart. Connecting with this tree at this auspicious time, we honour her powerful guardianship of land and people and receive her blessings in return.
We invite you to join as a village for the weekend, to enjoy each others company and journey with the energy of Beltane!
We are camping on land just outside Glastonbury with natural springs, ample nature and views of the Tor. Facilities include hot showers, natural spring water, hot water for tea or hot drinks. Home cooked vegan and gluten free meals are included (except breakfast) by local chef Kathy.
Guided by Yannick Dubois & Anna-Lisa Drew, who weave together their enthusiasm for the natural world, dance, storytelling and playful experiences all with a sincere and devotional heart and mind.
