About this Event

Prashant More will give a dance workshop which will unfold in two parts, Flying Low techniques and Contemporary dance. Flying low technique focuses mainly on the dancer’s relationship with the floor, utilising simple movement patterns which explore cohesion and expansion. The Contemporary technique session will give an insight of different movement techniques, methods, inspired and blended largely with floor techniques and B-boying. This workshop deals with transformation of movement and building of deep dance vocabularies, forming one's energy. Further, there is room to experience and explore your own movement language through various tasks/methods and improvisations. Understanding spaces and body control and exchange of weights with partner/contact work will also be demonstrated. Although very physical, the class will follow a clear structure never breaking the flow but systematically guiding one from the beginning to the end.
