Follower Sacadas - Workshop by Alexandra Bobrova & Mykhaylo Panjko

We will explore how follower sacadas naturally emerge in social tango. We will start with the foundation: how the couple creates the right direction and space so that the sacada becomes a natural continuation of the movement rather than an accidental step. We will talk about how followers can confidently enter the leader’s space without the fear of “stepping on their partner’s foot”, and what actually happens in this moment in terms of technique and embrace. Special attention will also be given to the leaders’ role: how to clearly and calmly prepare the movement so that the follower sacada appears easily and without tension. We will work with direction, timing, and the feeling of a safe shared space, so that this beautiful interaction becomes a natural part of your dance.
