Forró Workshop Juzinha and Alex

We are delighted to present our first Forró workshop of the year with amazing Alex and Juzinha from Pé Descalco! ARTIST INFO: Alex has been a Pé Descalço (PD) teacher for 10 years. He started learning forró in 2003, with Rick Resende, becoming one of the first students and examiners when Pé Descalço was taking its first steps. He started teaching in the Eldorado unit in 2010, where he remains until today. During this time he visited several cities in Brazil and Europe, where he helped out in local dancing schools teaching forro, samba de gafieira and several other dance styles. He currently is working as a teacher and director in a unit of PD and manager of the PD brand. Juliane Rosa (Juzinha) from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, started to dance in 2004 at Pé Descalço school, when she was only 8 years old. She started as a student and when she was 12 years old she mastered the south american dance styles, reaching the highest rank available at the school. Later on, she joined Pé Descalço team as a teacher, examiner and she also became part of the performance group. In 2014 she was teaching almost everyday in different units of the school. Juzinha already has held many workshops all over Brazil and in 2014 she went on tour to Europe for the first time. The published tour-video spread increasingly and therefore became popular a lot, so that today it has more than 50 million views! She since then has come to share with us even more of her knowledge, touring in Europe and Japan in the following 2 years. After visting many different places in the world the last three years, she moved to London to help opening the first international unit of Pé Descalço! She lived there for a year and then she went back to Brazil. Today she is the director of one of the units in Belo Horizonte.
