Free Beginner Friday at the Calgary Dance Stampede

Have you ever wanted to learn to dance but did not know where to start? Well, here is your chance! Get Yer' Boots On ... FREE Beginner Friday is Back! The Calgary Dance Stampede presents - FREE BEGINNER FRIDAY! On Friday evening we throw open the doors to the event and invite the general public and anyone who wants to learn to dance in. We offer 5 workshops taught by our professional staff. The Calgary Dance Stampede's tenth annual Free Beginner Friday will be held Friday, April 8, 2022 from 7PM to 9PM. We offer 5 free beginner adult dance classes, there is no better time to come and experience the wonderful world of dance! Whether you dream of performing in the spotlight, competing on a national stage, want to do some boot-scootin’ around town, or just never want to sit out the dancing at a party again, we have a free dance class for you to try. Stay the evening and play the night away in any one, or ALL of our 3 fabulous dance halls (admission required). 5 Beginner level classes to choose from; Two Step, West Coast Swing, Line Dance, Country Swing & Cha Cha Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm Location: Hyatt Regency Hotel - 700 Centre Street South NO partner required NO admission REGISTRATION: Come down to the Hyatt Regency, up to the 3rd floor of the banquet center and check in at the Event Registration desk to get your FREE Access to any or all of these classes - then put all those great moves to good use by staying and dancing all night long in any of our 3 gigantic dance halls featuring Country Dance, West Coast Swing Dance and Line Dance. 3 fabulous DJ's, 3 times the fun!! WHO WE ARE: Not only is the Calgary Dance Stampede Canada's largest and longest running Country, West Coast Swing and Line Dance event, it is a fully sanctioned, qualifying event for the United Country Western Dance Council (UCWDC) Country Dance World Championships and a points registry event for the Country Two Step Tour (CTST). We are a trial event for the World Swing Dance Council (WSDC). But we are not only about competition ... We are a fun filled family orientated weekend featuring dance! Dance Lessons and Workshops, Competitions, Professional Showcase, Social Dancing and much more all under one roof.
