About this Event
FREE Hyde Park Tango in The Bandstand
MONDAY 19 August 2019
17:00 > 20:45 [sunset is at 20:15]
Serpentine Road, Hyde Park.
There will be a slick tsunami alternating rhythmical and lyrical tangos developing from the simple to the complex."
Closest Tube: Hyde Park Corner. Several buses along Park Lane and Knightsbridge. Bus Stop Park Lane Hilton and Hyde Park Corner.
No donations sought. A hug would be nice though ;-)
DJ: Warren Edwardes Traditional Golden Age and Silk Age
Notes:
Bring water. Though The Serpentine Bar and Kitchen is close by.
Toilets are at the Serpentine Bar. There are closer toilets charging 20p.
There are no chairs. Bring a folding chair or stool if you need to sit. A few can sit on the steps. Or lean against the railings.
Bring old shoes. But the floor is very smooth.
There will be photos and filming by the organisers and other tangueros and inevitably by members of the public. These will be published on social media such as Facebook and YouTube. If you object please do not come.
I have permission to use the bandstand by The Royal Parks Office but there is no fee agreed so it is not hired.
We will, therefore, have to get there early to occupy the space. Help welcome at 17:00 to occupy the space.
