Free Latin Dance Classes

You don't need to bring a partner and no dance experience is required! Feel free to invite friends!! Dança Latina Dunedin is offering two FREE taster classes of partnered dance styles. Zouk at 6pm and Kizomba at 6:45pm. Zouk (also known as Brazilian Zouk) originated in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Brazil where it evolved from Lambada and other Brazilian rhythms in the 1980s. Kizomba is an African partner dance that began in Angola around 1950s and is often referred to as the African Tango. Come have a taste of these awesome dance styles from a Brazilian teacher based in Dunedin with more than 14 years of dance experience and a few New Zealand titles (2022 NZ Kizomba champion, 2023 NZ Zouk champion)! The Zouk class will start at 6:00pm and the Kizomba class will start 6:45pm, both happening back to back on Wednesday (May 14th) at 3 Stafford st, suite 4 second floor. No need to sign up, just come along!
