Take a forró dance lesson, learn a song in Spanish, do some outdoor yoga and experience incredible music, food and drinks from across the globe! ☝️LULAWORLD STAGE at Dundas West Fest 1630 Dundas Street West 6:30 pm 💃🕺🇨🇺Dance Lesson with Dailyn Martinez of Shumdesalsa Explore the rhythms of son and changui from Cuba’s rural countryside. 7:00 pm 🇨🇺🎶Gabriel Garcia Guitarist and founder of the Los Angeles-based Changüí Majadero performs classic and original repertoire with some of Toronto’s leading figures in Cuban son and changüi. 8:00 pm 💃🕺🇧🇷Forró Dance Lesson by Aruá, co-presented with Tambour Soul Get ready to dance the to the music of North-Eastern Brazil. 8:30 pm 🇧🇷🎶Maria Bonita and The Band Direct from Bahia, the magnetic singer and multi-instrumentalist Jerusa Leão reunites with her Canadian band for a high energy set of forró pé de serra: a soulful and danceable mix of accordion, fiddle, guitar, song and percussion. 10:00 pm 🔥🎷🎷🎺🎵🎶 Bangerz Brass Following up on the success of their street performance at last year’s festival, Toronto’s only hip-hop brass band is back, this year on the Lulaworld stage, busting out your favourite trap hits and classic boom-bap knockers with live freestyles from top MCs. Dundas West Fest is a local celebration of creativity and diversity that strives to be participatory and inclusive. Known as the festival that kicks off Toronto’s summer festival season, it’s the perfect opportunity to invite out-of-town guests to experience and be part Toronto’s exciting multiculturalism.
