About this Event
Have you ever felt there was more to dancing than just performing moves to the beat? Have you ever wondered how to recognise when flourishes & breaks are going to happen so you can become more musical in your dancing? Well this is the workshop for you.
This is a series workshops in which you'll learn how to recognise what's going to happen in the music, the difference between contemporary & blues music, what is beat and rhythm, light & shade etc to enable you to take your dancing to a whole new, more satisfying level.
While Ceroc & SILC are lead & follow dances, Debbie & Clive will show you how the dance can become a conversation, how followers can become involved in that conversation & how leaders should pay attention to their followers who might hear something in the music that the leader has missed.
Debbie & Clive will show you how you can adapt, enhance & embellish your existing repertoire of moves so that, now you know that break, that syncopated flourish, that long lyrical accent that is coming, you have a range of options in your toolkit for when it arrives, to help make you & your partner look the coolest couple on the dance floor!
The content has been updated since we last ran this workshop so even if you've attended this event previously, you'll still find plenty to progress your dancing.
*AND THE BEST PART - It's Totally FREE if you are attending The B60 Expressive straight afterwards (other wise if you can't make that - just Β£5)

This was a fantastic afternoon, great combination of theory, and practical, using moves that are very familiar to the whole group, and working on those to improve the style and musicality of our dancing. I particularly enjoyed the session teaching us about the dialogue between two dancers, and how both partners have a part to play in the conversation. This was a brilliant afternoon, thank you so much Debbie and Clive
