Freedom and Flow - Intro to Contact Improv Part 2.

Join me for round 2 of my intro to Contact Improv classes. The number of attendees will determine the location so please let me know if you are attending by clicking the "going" button on the invite :) Freedom and Flow. Out.. beyond the basics is a place of ease and flow in contact improvisation. We will learn ways to gracefully and deeply connect with other dancers. In this class we will be exploring deeper levels of arriving into the present moment by being "able to respond" to whatever comes to you in your dance by learning more improvisational resources. We will nurture the following resources for your dance: 1. Momentum and Levels 2. Weightsharing, Counterbalance and Floorwork 3.Foundations of improvising 4. Response-ability This class is part 2 in an ongoing series but you do not need to have attended the first one. However if you did attend the first one we will be working with different resources and scores. The class is appropriate for all levels but is geared towards beginning/intermediate contact dancers. Cost: Sliding Scale $30 - $60 REGISTRATION OPTIONS: $30.00 - Rate for those who are in need of some financial assistance yet deeply support the arts and love to dance. $45.00 - Feeling solid financially, able to support the arts and deeply in love with dancing. $60.00 - Feeling abundant! Her approach is that play and improvisation are the essence of physical, social and spiritual evolution in the human body as we are taking quantum leaps of expansion in our capacity by playing in this way. Raina has a degree in expressive arts therapyt and has apprenticed under Anna Halprin, Martin Keogh and Constantine Darling in her early years. She has since gone on to produce workshops, Jams and teach at dance festivals across the west coast. Raina’s capacity to offer clear, effective instruction with wisdom and levity is her trademark.
