She’s developed her musicality, techniques, and body control by training in styles like hip hop, dance hall, heels, salsa, bachata, fusion, Urban Kiz and Tarraxo. In addition to her life long passion for dance, her drive to teach and create community has lead her to teach both Urban Kiz and Tarraxo for the past 2 years. Monica is a versatile dancer, who initally trained for years in solo dances such as Bollywood and Bharatanatyam, and then trained in Salsa, Bachata, Brazilian Zouk, Fusion and eventually UrbanKiz. She found her passion for UrbanKiz through GhettoZouk music. She has been teaching UrbanKiz for about 3 years, having taught in cities all over US and Canada as well as in France and The Netherlands. She is an ambidancer, having developed her skills in both following and leading. We will also have an informal dinner after the workshops, to continue connecting over food and more conversations.
