Freeform and Connected Dance workshop

Join us for an authentic and liberating dance session, where you will go through connection within yourself and with others. Dancing from the deepest parts of yourself with both meditative and dynamic moments, reaching intensity, letting go, alignment and play. What? This dance experience will start with meditation, body movement exploration, followed by dancing in pairs and finally in synergy with the whole group ✨ There shall be some voice expression practices as well. Deepening our listening within, expanding creativity, natural connections, play, embodiment. No experience needed, this session is open to ALL. Location: Community house in Mar Vista, West LA 3769 Grand View Bld Time: 4pm-6pm Suggested donation: $20 There will be a contact improv jam in Santa Monica afterwards we can all go to! About Alexia Périneau : Authentic and group dance facilitator in Paris, she is passionate about bringing people to a flow and connected state through improvisation. She is inspired by Gaga dance, Contact Improvisation, Ensemble Improvisation and Ecstatic Dance. She explored the practice of group improvisation through a research project in Paris with the CNRS, and workshops in various places including Earth Dance with Nita Little and Rey Chung. She studied Gaga dance, which is a form of contemporary dance, in Israel and Paris, and contact improvisation all over the place. She currently teaches in Paris at the Acting School Paris Meisner Studio, at Loft Lechapelais, and Agapë events. She is also a Dance Performer, Yoga Teacher and ex-Engineer. Forming a whole, making the space live, accept all from the self and from the other, opening our attention within and around, com-posing, staying objective-less to open the eyes, no projection. Movement is our first language.
