Mixing together a rich lifetime of latin flavour, taking the swing from his hometown of Buenaventura, Colombia, and the rhythm of Cali, Colombia - ' the capital of salsa ' - the tradition of Cuba and the style of New York. Born in London of Colombian descent, Hernando Arias is our UK's very own 'acordeonero' , winner of BBC World Routes Academy, represented Colombia at Womad Festival and became the firs UK-Colombian semi-finalist 2012 at Festival Vallenato in Valledupar,Colombia. Hernando has alternated with Artists such as Carlos Vives, Lisandro Meza, El Binomio De Oro, Andres El Turco Gil, Andres Cepeda, Leandro Diaz, Los Niños Del Vallenato, Los Embajadores Del Vallenato amongst others. Hernando plays in a number of bands in London and is also the musical director of LOS HERMANOS ARIAS, a London based multi-cultural band celebrating the Vallenato tradition conformed by Brother and Sister Jose Hernando and Laura Ines Arias Noguera also accompanied this time by professional musicians they join forces with Cartagena's most recognized artist here in Europe JAVI MOLINA the main singer and percussionist who played one of the latest parrandas in Europe with Diomedes Diaz one of the legends of Vallenato.
