Bringing the sound of the coast of Colombia up to date our main show by top band ANGELICA LOPEZ & PAPAYERA playing part of her new album 'Madremonte' to be released this year. And kicking the party supporting the show: COMBO YANZE one of the emerging Tropical, Salsa & Boogaloo bands bringing the sound of the 70's-80's for the first time to Passing Clouds to heat the dancing floor. Upstairs we have a very special guest DJs Soviet Reunion with DJ Penny Metal and DJ Kobayashi for a night of vinyl delights. Come and delve into the world of wonderful and obscure tunes from eastern Europe and beyond, marvel at the record covers and we may even read out the sleeve notes! Influenced by music from Colombia's Atlantic Coast and inspired by artists such as Joe Arroyo, Toto La Momposina and Carlos Vives their concerts also include rhythms from the country’s rich musical heritage like the pasillo, currulao, and musica llanera. Rebranded as 'Mad Tunes' in an endeavour to get people to hear this music, she has released 17 volumes of Mad Tunes CDs of tunes taken from the vinyl she has collected. These tunes always feature in her DJ sets. DJ KOBAYASHI DJ Kobayashi's musical styles varie from Swing / Rhythm and Blues / Oldies / Balkan / Gypsy / Mediterranean Grooves and Electro Swing. His influences as a DJ started from a very young age following his dad (Reuven Erez). He is a member of Gypsy Hill – the beast from nearby the middle east - playing an intoxicating mix of balkan brass, mediterranean surf rock, ska & swing.
