A class dedicated to Juan D’ARIENZO, aka the "Rey del Compás” (The King of the Tango Beat), the man who reinvented tango as music for social dancing. We will examine the Compás in D’arienzo’s recordings (What is “marcato in four”? What is a “corte”? What are syncopations? What are "variaciones" and how to dance to them in simple yet musical ways?). 20.30 - 01.00 Milonga NEGRACHA Traditional set played in tandas with cortinas DJ IVAN Mineral water, nuts and fruits will be available free of charge.
