Friday West Coast Swing Dance Fundraiser

Join Dancing with the Athens Stars Team 1 for a fantastic night of learning and dancing in support of Project Safe! Lesson: 7pm Social Dancing: 8-10pm No partner or experience required, donations at the door. Pat Barron and Geoff Newell will be lighting up the classic center on March 18th as part of Dancing with the Athens Stars. We are throwing an dance night featuring one of Geoff's favorite dance styles, West Coast Swing! This is a fun, sleek swing dance style originating in Southern California in the 1940's and 50's. It's done to modern music (top 40, hip hop, r&b, etc) and is an absolute blast to learn. Geoff will teach a beginner lesson at 7 and spin tunes until 10pm afterwards. You don't need dance experience or a partner. Partners will rotate during the lesson, and people dance with different parnters all night during the social dancing!
