What is FTLOB Online? Our monthly online classes will: + give you access to the best Bachata instructors around the world without leaving your home + allow you to watch & learn from the instructors in real-time + give you access to a private Q&A session with the artists when you participate live + let you watch again for enhanced learning (or if you missed the live session) ------------------------------------ Class Details April Edition: Join us live for a one-of-a-kind class on April 18th! Dakhóta and Edwin are going to break down the roots of Bachata music and dance for you in a 1-hour interactive presentation. This workshop is great for any level including absolute beginners or even more experienced dancers who want to deepen their knowledge. Guided practice will available in this session in which instructors may be able to see you and give live tips on your dancing. 4 Components all based on Areíto Arts content: 1. History and development. Bachata and Merengue dancing in D.R. and Abroad. 2. Music Theory and Practice: Identifying and differentiating the instruments and styles of merengue, bachata, and bolero campesino. 3. Dance Guided Practice: hands-on training on Core body movements, shapes, and figures. (This part is INTERACTIVE as you will see us and we will see you. We may offer feedback) 4. Reflection and Q&A Session: We will share tips on growth, how to research, how to develop a curriculum, teaching pedagogy, and any other questions you may have as students or teachers of dance. ---------------------------------------------- DETAILS: Date: April 18th, 2020 Class Duration: 1 hour, 1pm-2pm EDT Class Level: Open level, beginner-friendly Q&A Session: 30 minutes, 2-2:30pm EDT Watch it Again: The session will be recorded via Zoom and the video will be made available to you for 30 days following the session so you can download it and review it from home at any time. (Note: This video will NOT be licensed to you for commercial or social distribution. It will be for your personal and individual learning only.)
