(full) ONE JAM - 3 Weeks of Contact Improvisation Jams

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝓘𝓼𝓵𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝗝𝗔𝗠 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 17 February - 9 March 2025 We invite experienced contact improvisation dancers enthusiastic to dive deep, dance daily and co-create a field of research and exchange based in self-responsibility and a passion for the practice. Join us on the island of Koh Phangan for a 3-week journey of jamming to share our practices in a supportive, explorative atmosphere. We have 50 spots available. If you genuinely feel called make sure to apply sooner rather than later. 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁: During the week, we’ll gather for 3-hour jamming sessions in the mornings with varying scores or focus. And twice a week we will gather in the evening for dancing in a more extended container. We invite a responsive structure that evolves with each participant's contributions and curiosities. Alongside the daily sessions, we’ll create space for labbing inspired by the groups' research interests. We will also receive some proposals for sharing in different formats to foster the exchange and intentional sharing of research in the dance. As we are based on a tropical island with gorgeous turquoise warm waters, we will also have some dedicated time to add water jams to our land practice, likely on weekends. ​ The experience will be further enriched by open “island jams” held 3 times weekly. These sessions open up the unique opportunity to connect with the wider Koh Phangan CI community and share the journey beyond our group.
