About this Event
Most of you have heard that one the brightest salsa stars, Yesenia Peralta of NY/NJ, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis about two years ago. We all have seen her memorable dance routines, one of my all-time favorites being "Hueso", where she owns the stage like no other. She is known as the J-LO of Salsa, and is, without a doubt, one of the best female dancers that NY/NJ has ever produced. She has danced and performed all over the world with the likes of Griselle Ponce, Candy Mena, Frankie Diaz, and the list goes on...
It doesn’t need explaining what being diagnosed with MS means for a dancer. Yesenia is fighting her way back though, and is currently undergoing therapy. We’re glad to hear she is doing very well. But the treatment is quite costly, and Yesenia needs help. It came to my attention that the dance community on the East Coast came together to raise funds for her treatment. I wanted to assist in that effort, so, a few of us got together and we are throwing a fundraising party. This time giving back to a person who has giving her life to salsa. Let’s all get together and show that our dance community has a big heart. All the proceeds will go to Yesenia. She will be in Seattle to dance with you (at a very slow pace) so all you have to do is show up and participate in this great cause. Cover: $12 (Before 11:00 PM)
There will be surprises, food, performances and more. So everyone, please come out and show your support for Yesenia!
