𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻: Nicky and Anne: Clave Why is that, whenever you play a salsa song on a fusion dance party, most dancers awkwardly stay on the sidelines? This is somewhat strange, since many songs and artists that we do love dancing to - from Shakira to Snoop Dog to Elvis - use that rhythm that's at the heart of salsa music: the clave. During this class, Anne & Nicky, two dancers with a not-so-secret past in salsa, will get you familiar with the clave rhythm and give you concrete tools on how to recognise it and play with it. This is a perfect class for anyone freaked out by Latin music, anyone who wants to incorporate more rhythmical solo variations, and anyone who wants to nurture a secret love affair with their third dance partner (aka the music). The door price is used for the space rental and other things related to the event. If you are familiar with one or more couple dances and like to integrate and/or combine them with music-improvisation, in which you can determine by dance(partner) whether you lead, follow or interchange/switch, then you like fusion dancing! 😃 There'll be a wide array of music genres to get you dancing, from electronic to acoustic, evoking dance genres like blues, west coast swing, tango, balfolk, latin and more. If it interests you, ask the organizers how you can participate.
