Fusion Weekend (with Ari Levitt)

Join us for this fusion workshop weekend with the amazing Ari Levitt (all the way from Seattle)! Fusion parties with international dancers are rare treat in the Netherlands, so this weekend is not to be missed! If you have been dancing a partner dance (of any style) for at least 1 year, this weekend is for you. The weekend includes 8 hours of fusion dance workshops (4 hours on Saturday and another 4 on Sunday) and a cozy fusion party with amazing DJs on Saturday night. The classes will be structured in four 2-hour classes with the following topics: 💃💃 Blues, Fusion, & The WCS Connection 💃💃 Using Ari's very unique approach to understanding effortless partnered movement and lead & follow roles, you will not only learn a whole different approach to partnered dance, you'll come away with a much deeper understanding of the fundamental language of energy & flow in blues, fusion, and WCS that can also be applied to virtually any style you do! Perfect for both WCS and Fusion. Not to be missed! 💃💃 Tango'd up in Fusion 💃💃 Embellish what you know of partnering by learning to cut the floor with sultry tango footwork and spicy breaks that are easily inserted into your fusion styling and flow. A great way to broaden your dance horizons and put the "wow" factor into any partnering you do! 💃💃 Intro to fusion Waltz 💃💃 In this class we'll deconstruct the varied rhythms that can be applied to a fusion waltz music and build them back up into some amazing tricks and steps. You'll come away with a very fluid and lyrical way of breaking down rhythms, blending stylings, and exploring mutual play on the dance floor in the context of waltz. 💃💃 Dance Magic - The Art of "Hidden Hand Changes”, “Illusions”, & “Casting Spells” on the dance floor! 💃💃 In this class, we’ll embellish our ability to play and improvise by learning to use “hidden hand changes”, “illusions”, and “upper extremity sorcery”, which can be applied to almost any partnered movement, and can take you places you never dreamed of going.
