Fusion workshop day with Mirabai

Registration for the workshop is closed, but if you're only coming for the evening party, you can pay at the door, no need to register. This is a day-long workshop and evening party with the incredibly talented Mirabai Commer, previously from San Francisco and Buenos Aires, but now living in Switzerland. She's won multiple awards for tango (recent video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCXjzjGcwUc ), and will be teaching both moves and principles that you can apply to your fusion dancing. Saturday, November 23, at EMMA Centrum in Utrecht. Pricing: €40 for workshops + party, €10 for party alone. Schedule: Lessons from 12:00pm - 4:pm (with breaks), then party from 20:00 - 23:00 or later. Lessons: • 12:00 - 13:30 - Intention, Projection, & Connection (using frame & connection to lead & follow moving feet in straight lines or curving kicks or body wraps) • 13:45 - 15:15 Dips, Tricks, & Traps (safe dip mechanics, simple dip & advanced one or more, leans, "enganche" leg trap) • 15:45 - 17:15 - Turns, Locks, and Keys (advanced spins, pivoting arm locks, and key frame/posture to spin well) Party! 20:00 - 23:00 or later, bring your most fabulous self. Your lesson ticket gets you into the party for free, or people that didn't register can also buy a ticket to just the party at the door. Music will be a mix of energy from amped to delicate, and a mix of styles from electronica to bluesy to latin-esque, all with lots of juicy connection to enrapture you.
