Gabriel Huracan Gaumond & Catrinel Iftode will host a milonga, perform and teach a lesson. Gabriel will also DJ for the milonga. They come to VivaTango from Washington, DC. Their dance style has been characterized as romantic. Their lesson will show you how to create endless possibilities from sequences using Sacadas, Enganches and Entradas. Gabriel believes that tango is a language we speak with our bodies and he is particularly interested in exploring the subtleties of how this communication works. His focus is musical interpretation using the body as a medium for expression and the mechanics of connection. Catrinel sees tango as a tool for personal growth by removing the physical, mental and emotional blocks that stand in the way of full freedom of expression.
