Gaston Olguin Tango Workshops

Hi Everybody, I am very excited to announce Gaston Olguin’s first visit to Portland, OR. Gaston is a young and talented tango performer and teacher and one among the first organizers of the Tango Queer Festival in Buenos Aires. I met him in Buenos Aires at Luciana Valle’s Tango Intensivo where he was assisting her classes. I was so happy about the improvements in my dance technique he helped me achieve that I decided to share his knowledge with my dear tango community. His teaching style combines his ballet background technique with the bio-mechanics knowledge he acquired by studying with Alfredo Gurquel. (All Levels) 4:00-5:15pm Workshop #3 Colgadas: playing with your axis to create different colgadas. (Int.) Sunday, July 28, 2019 1:00-2:15pm - Workshop #4 Moving Axis and stability in the pivot. (All Levels) 2:30-3:45pm Workshop #5 Line of dissociation: Planeos in every direction and stability of the follower’s posture.
