Gelre Blues - Nijmegen

On Sunday May 3rd Gelre Blues is happening again in Nijmegen! Join us for a bluesy afternoon with live music by Jetse de Jong & The Tabasko Boys and a blues dance workshop with Vicky & Carsten! Schedule: 14.00-15.30 uur: All level blues dance workshop with Vicky & Carsten 16.00-18.30 uur: Blues dance party with live music by Jetse de Jong & The Tabasko Boys Workshop topic: Vicky & Carsten will invite you to dive deeper into how blues can feel in your body and in connection with someone else, focussing on what really makes your dancing come alive: how you listen, how you move and groove, and how you connect. Dancing to different blues songs and exploring how each song invites a different quality of movement. This will get you ready to dance to the bluesy tunes of Jetse de Jong & The Tabasko Boys after the workshop for sure! Whether you never danced to blues music before or already have some blues dancing experience: everybody can join the workshop! Vicky & Carsten will make sure the workshop is suitable for absolute beginners ánd fun and challenging for more experienced dancers. The workshop and the party are both donation based (pay what you can). No need to sign up, just show up!! Location: De Klinker, Van Broeckhuysenstraat 46, Nijmegen (a 10-15 minute walk from Nijmegen train station). Gelre Blues is a collaboration between dance communities in Wageningen, Arnhem and Nijmegen. Our goal is to spread our love for blues music and blues dancing in Gelderland!
