“Gentle Flight + Gentle Touch” Contact Improvisation workshop By Ivan Gurianov With Bodywork Intro session by Nonie Yung 14 - 16 November Honk Kong In this program we will study techniques which help to feel confident in dancing Contact Improvisation and will learn principals of partner soft acrobatics in CI. Program: - Fundamental techniques of Contact Improvisation. - One hour bodywork introduction on Saturday & Sunday. - Soft acrobatics. - Communication in CI. - Work with attention, perception & reflexes. - Bio mechanics of the body. - Somatic exercises to access subtle aspects of movement. - Exercises to open creativity and go beyond patterns. Ivan was a teacher & co-organiser of international contact improvisation residencies and festivals. Performer, Multidisciplinary artist. Ivan incorporates in his dancing and teaching approach ideas from different movement research studies such as Ideokinesis, Axis Syllabus & Movement Culture.
