Tango Seminario: "Sacadas & Boleos" 21. - 27. march 2010 Gustavo Naveira & Giselle Anne at the beautiful Jugendstil-Berghotel Schatzalp in Davos/Switzerland There are still some places for you! Enjoy this extraordinary tango week with Gustavo Naveira & Giselle Anne in the beautiful snowy Swiss mountains. It is the first time they teach a seminar in the fabulous Mountain-Hotel Schatzalp in Davos, a very well known skiresort. This seminar is for professional tango teachers and dancers, for experienced tango dancers and for advanced dancers who are used to intensive and demanding work. The seminar includes 20 hours of lessons. There is space to practice all the time. In the evenings milongas & practicas. Maximum 30 couples, only couples may register. Gustavo y Giselle Anne: "We consider the Sacadas and the Boleos , two of the most important tango choreographic ideas. The tango has, among a lot of others things, four or five choreographic ideas. That turn to be the most important ones, due to their representative essence, that means they are identifying the tango genre. Whenever, that are seen in choreography, a Sacada, a Boleo, a Gancho, or a Barrida, will be recognizable, the argentine tango presence. This program treats, specifically these two ideas: Sacadas & Boleos, through their complete constitutive structure, exploring possible variables, execution technique, rhythmical application, and their combination possibilities. This seminar contains a large number of sequences, steps and variants; it is worked rapidly and intensively, permitting a vast vision of the choreographic spectrum. It also results as a very good opportunity to board the general technical training of the tango dance, as are proposed throughout the sequences many coordination problems, its solution notably improve the general control." The Berghotel Schatzalp in Davos/Switzerland (1865 meters above sealevel) is situated on a unique car-free south slope with free view of the Davos valley and the opposite mountain range. The former sanatorium, built in Art Nouveau style has fully retained its Belle Epoque charm and radiates an atmosphere perfectly suited to tango. ‘The magic mountain’-hotel and the rooms are furnished simply, yet elegantly. All rooms have their own bath or shower and toilet. On the south side the rooms have large balconies with a incredible view. Those of you wishing to treat themselves to something extraordinary can reserve a luxury superior room. Travel: easy with train or car from Zürich/Basel via Landquart (changing train) in about 2 hours. The Hotelbus picks you up at the trainstation "Davos Platz". Programm: we will concentrate the courses as much as possible in the late afternoon, so there is some time during the day for winter sports and other things. Specially because there is a possibility to ski just in front of the hotel. So the following scedule can be changed depending also of the weather!
