When four lifelong friends travel to New Orleans for the annual Essence Festival, sisterhoods are rekindled, wild sides are rediscovered and there’s enough dancing, drinking, brawling and romancing to make The Big Easy blush. What is ELLA? ELLA: African Rhythms Affair has left its stamp as the only event of its magnitude that focuses on women and their relationship within the Kizomba, Semba and African Rhythms industry. For the past 2 years, ELLA has been held in Lisbon, Portugal, a location that has been key for expansion of these dances and culture.
