Giving and Taking Space workshop

Skill level: Competent WCS dancer covering the basics. So around 6 months dance experience. Workshop: “Creating and Filling Space Together.” Date: Sunday 29 June 2025 Venue: BAC Time: 1pm to 3pm Cost: $60 per person (includes a farewell drink at the Lighthouse afterwards as our farewell to Judith). Your teaching host: Judith Plattner who is an Advanced Level WCS dancer from Germany who has been studying at the ANU this last 6 months. She leaves us for warmer shores at the beginning of July. Judith is bringing her take on improving your dance and finding and inspiring creativity. High Level overview of workshops: The intensive is designed to help you: · Fill time and space creatively, both as a leader and follower · Move outside of memorized patterns and communicate through your connection · Deepen your musicality and interpret music more dynamically Session 1: “Giving and Taking Space” Session 2: “Filling the Space Creatively” and “Building the Dance Together” Expect to dance, experiment, reflect, and build confidence in expressing yourself within the partnership.
