GLASTONFERRET 2021 The Original Indoor Turfed Festival THURS 26th - SUN 29th August 2021 The Ferret's legendary event is back for another year, bigger and better than ever. Four days filled with a massive live-music lineup of brilliant and diverse acts; real grass & hay bales installed throughout the whole inside of the venue; guest craft ales on tap and an outdoor bar filled with cider and summer drinks; fantastic festival food; DJs in the beer garden; and late night after parties. Events run from Thursday 4pm until Sunday morning 3am. DJs: Joining us for all-day outdoor DJ sessions in the beer garden + late night after parties once the bands have finished... antics DJs: antics Clubnight was born at the Ferret in 2011. Back for one night only, antics DJs play the very best cult indie, electro and retro. BIG THINGS: Preston’s number 1 hiphop boogaloo, Big Things deliver slow groovers, hype groovers, jazz, soul & hiphop groovers… all groove, all the time. Expect the finest hiphop, classic rap, funk & soul originals, 90s g-funk & those all-important party jams. CAMEL CITY: Camel_City is a bustling metropolis where the skies are turquoise blue and the sun is always out to play. Two humans / brothers / DJs called Matt and Ed Leigh invite you on a slightly slanted trip through the world of mellowed out, soulful and straight-up-nice hip hop sounds. CONCRÈTE: Joe Concrete will be selecting the very finest fuzzy electronica, blissed-out ambient drones, neo new age synths and leftfield techno. CUBA FERRET: It’s still too early to make definite travel plans to Cuba, so Cubaferret will bring a taste of Cuba to The Ferret (the team are already brushing up on their mojito and Cuba libre making skills). We’ll have the usual mixture of salsa, rumba & timba along with a couple of surprises. ¡Hasta pronto compañeras/os! BEATS OF RAGE: Digging in the crates for some summertime belters, ex-masters of the scene the Beats of Rage crew return after a multi-year hiatus with a pitched down selection of electronic gems. NODDING DOG DISCO: Soulful vibes to wag your tail to, blending soul-disco-afro delights and joyful sounds. TELSTAR FUNK & SOUL: Prestons own Funk & Soul vinyl junkie, be ready for everything from Motown classics & Northern Soul, to old and new school funky edits with a hiphop twist. THE WHINGE WAKE DISCO: Like a wedding disco but not as many knee-slides. Whinge bring a selection of mega tunes from Italo Disco to Surf Guitar. Everything from Chimpan-A to Chimpan-Zee. Expect Garage Rock, Psych Rock, Yacht Rock & Krautrock. Ballads to bangers. - - - - - CRAFTS & CLOTHING STALLS: Adding a bit of colour to the Glastonferret festival vibe, these local creatives will be showing their wares throughout the weekend: CARROT FLOWERS: Polymer clay accessories, handmade with love by Helen.
