Global Underscore 2022 Join the world dancing the Underscore In its simplest conception, Underscore is a focused contact improvisation jam. The Underscore is a dance improvisation structure developed by Nancy Stark Smith. Based in Contact Improvisation, it comprises a spectrum of states, from quiet, internal activity to high-energy, interactive dancing. Undirected; for research and play. Open to all familiar with CI. Choose one of the “talk-throughs” to understand Underscore's 50+ glyphs and concepts. Bring your notebook and come dance with us! Please choose one Talk Thru to attend: Talk Thru 1, June 23 6 pm - 8 pm (Norick Library Downtown OKC - classroom D) Talk Thru 2, 7:30 am - 8:30 am in studio FAC 305 at OU (Rupel J Jones Fine Art Center building) Global Underscore is a special annual event that involves sites all around the world coordinating across time zones to dance the Underscore together. $10 suggested donation (includes Underscore and Talk Thru)
