Coming from São Paulo, Brazil, they dance and teach Brazilian Zouk and Lambada and are part of the new generation of Zouk instructors taking the world by storm. Also with more than 5 years of experience in circus, capoeira and theater, she began her journey in dancing as a couple at the age of 16, becoming a professional in Sertanejo and Vanera universitária. Becoming one of the biggest references in styles, winning important titles and training dancers and teachers who work in the scene today. Sara Bezerra began her dance journey at the age of three, training in ballet and jazz. Throughout her development, she explored a wide range of styles, including hip hop, circus techniques, and other forms of movement. She later found her true passion in partner dancing, building a solid professional career with eight years of experience in the Brazilian country dance scene (sertanejo universitário). Today, she is dedicated to Brazilian Zouk and Lambada, working as a dancer, teacher, and choreographer in these styles. Known for her dynamic style, refined musicality, and strong technique, she brings authenticity and artistic expression to her work. Her focus lies in connection, body movement, and identity in dance. She is the founder of The Empowered Dancers Platform and facilitator of the TED Retreats and TED Courses for Follows, which have been running successfully for the last four years. She was a finalist on the Polish So You Think You Can Dance (2012) and has a strong background in contemporary and jazz. With a deep understanding of human motor skills, she continually expands her knowledge of movement techniques. Joanna has taught in over 30 countries and has been dancing, teaching, and performing at international Zouk festivals for 13+ years. She pioneered Zouk in Poland in 2011, co-founded the Warsaw Zouk scene, and is a qualified judge for the Brazilian Zouk Dance Council. She has taught Zouk alongside Pasty, Kamacho, and William dos Santos, but in recent years, she has gained recognition for her solo follower classes at international festivals.
