Four State of the Art Studios (with more in the future) wrapped in 19th century elegance. A black box theater with capacity for both proscenium and theater in the round art. Showers and spacious locker-rooms. Vaulted ceilings and historic gold-leafed cherubs carefully preserved from when DC's famous architect, Charles E. Wire, designed them in 1923 and presented them to the city as the Park Theater on July 1st, 1924 with silent movie heartthrob Thomas Meighan on the silver screen. Under the Direction of Founder Diana Movius and Executive Director Paul Gordon Emerson, two of Washington's leading artists with dance troupes of their own who call the Dance Loft on 14 home, the Loft is an interdisciplinary space, a home for actors and musicians; for visual artists; for the professional artist and the novice alike.
