Midnight Sun Salsa, the first salsa bachata festival in Iceland

The Midnight Sun Salsa event will be a four day salsa/bachata/kizomba adventure filled with energetic social dancing on two floors to music mixed by DJ Willy - NL, DJDennis Dale (Dennis the Chemist), and DJ Sezar Duran. Various workshops will be held by following artists: Adric Walter, Ernesto Camilo Aldazabal Valdes, Ibirocay Regueira, Marina Prada, Mikko J. Kemppe, Ovidijus Mikšys, Susana Montero. The preparty is held at Iðnó, all program on Friday and Saturday at Hilton Reykjavík Nordica, and Sunday program at Iðnó again. Exclusive tours are included in the program for our guests, to the Blue Lagoon Iceland, and the Golden circle. These can be purchased in our combi-passes and are exclusively for the guests of our festival. Saturday May 27th we offer a superb show in the form of the Nordic Salsa Championships, the newest member of the Stargate shows offered to ambitious student teams. The competition is open for teams/couples performing bachata or salsa, and the winners get to perform at the main dance floor at the Berlin Salsa Congress in 2017. All participants in the competition will be offered FREE accomodation. In addition to this, we pack high quality workshops, with the unique opportunity to check out our beautiful country or simply relax and maybe visit one of Reykjaviks many outdoor warm pools. We do encourage our international guests to experience Iceland and therefore leave room in the program to go sightseeing / discovering Iceland. We will assist you in finding the perfect package combining dancing with snorkling, horseback riding, visiting glaciers / blue lagoon or just leizuring around and relaxing in natural hot springs.
