Grace Fae & the Grandbirds are a fun jazz quintet, specializing in swinging danceable tempos and classic tunes from the 1920s to the 1940s. Grace has a warm legitimate sound like Peggy Lee and Ella Fitzgerald. She’s backed by beloved local musicians Dean Koba on drums, Ian Solomon on upright bass, Wayne Wilentz on piano and Garrett Becker on saxophone & clarinet! You’ll hear your favorite big band tunes by Cole Porter, the Gershwin brothers, Irving Berlin, and Duke Ellington in new and energizing interpretations, with some French & Spanish lyrics, and you won’t stop dancing!
